My sister and I got Violet and Scarlet, respectively, specifically so that we can get the trade evolutions and the version exclusives from each other. I like to believe that our respective playthroughs were parallel universes to each other. From the gender of our respective character to kind of Paradox Pokemon encountered - I think we even went in opposite directions from the city to start the adventure - the two universes acted as mirrors to each other. The first trade evolution we got was Haunter -> Gengar. Going by the headcanon, my sister’s Haunter was exposed to some eldritch energy that exists in the void between universes, perhaps the leftover chaos whereupon Almighty Arceus first created existence. When reality stabilized around the Haunter upon arrival in my “universe,” it utilized this energy to force its evolution into Gengar. At least, that’s my headcanon. Each pair of games being parallel universes to each other.

Intrestingly, in sword and shield, some trade Evo pokemon can be caught in the wild area and in the dlcs. In arceus u can catch a bit more trade evos though.

The only lore i want to pokemon univers to expand on is the typing, what makes that a dark type and the other a ground type, and how a ball of light hurts a daek type while another ball of light can't.... We need scientific explanation......

You're insane if you think Dragonite was always easy to acquire. Used to be one of the rarest in the games. Gyarados was never rare in the anime or the games.

it should also be very clearly noted, Fairy does NOT mean feminine, it more often refers to folklore and mythology than it does femininity, literally fairy tales. in some senses, it's more like the culture type, where literal fae and just general culture can be included. maybe you're a pixie or perhaps am imp, maybe you're simply the embodiment perfume or pasterie industry, you could be a discarded stuffed animal, or you could play the healer in a D&D campaign, maybe you're the concept of life, maybe you're the concept of love, maybe you're the industrial revolution itself, there's more than one empath line, more than one pure evil line, and at least one line that might be both. it's a lot of things. that's why I find it to be the most interesting type to see new pokemon of, you really can never know what to expect!

Gliscor would make even more sense with dark as third, for sure. It's a dracula design. And the 'healed by being poisoned' would still functionally work and fit.

So two types of earth soft and hard hard earth is rock soft earth is ground. Therefore living in the earth like deserts would make ya ground type where as living in a mountain makes you a rock type. Also cubone is ground cause his mom is dead and BURIED. Geodude and onix are ground cause they chose to burrow nidoking/queen are ground cause again they love to be underground. Also their body isn't made of poison so what ya think it's made of to tank hits like it does

Keldeo has little Water Jet boosters in his feet. Water Type

At least all these at least have some purpose, with switcheroo not working on Klutz and so on, but one pokemon truly has the most worthless ability, that being the joke that is Rotom-Fan and it's wonderful levitate ability.
